Sitz der Stadtverwaltung dieser kleinen Stadt mit 35000 Einwohnern
Tuttlingen ist aber was die lokal ansässige Industrie anbelangt, eine Weltstadt der Medizin. Namhafte Unternehmen,
angeführt von der Fabrik für medizinische Instrumente "Aesculap " oder der Endoskophersteller Karl Storz,
sowie zahlreiche kleinere Betriebe für Prothesen etc., geben den Menschen hier Arbeit und Auskommen.
Bekannt ist auch der Name "Rieker", eine Fabrik für Schuhe aller Art
Trotz der großen Industriebedeutung hat Tuttlingen den eher beschaulichen Charakter einer schwäbischen Kleinstadt nicht verloren.
