This Canada Goose defended her nest like a real mother, not against me (as I was completely hidden in the bushes) but against an agressive magpie.

Dutch name: Canadese gans
German name : Kanadagans
Latin name : Branta canadensis

good for her (him?)!!! magpies can be such a nuisance, sometimes! and they are real egg thieves, too! beautiful capture of the worried and enraged bird that seems to be hissing obscenities at the invisible intruder – hope it worked, too, and her (his?) clutch of eggs remained intact and unharmed! the "wooly" nest she (he? ; )) he made for it, really breaks my heart ; ))! greetings, sabine.
