Die Maikäfer (Melolontha) sind eine Gattung von Käfern innerhalb der
Les melolonthinae (nom vernaculaire : hannetons) sont un ensemble d'espèces de coléoptères nocturnes, les adultes sont phyllophages et les larves radicivores. Plusieurs espèces - quand elles pullulent - sont nuisibles à l'agriculture. On les considérait aussi autrefois comme nuisibles à la sylviculture.
Ils étaient regroupé dans la famille des melolonthidae qui est maintenant généralement incluse dans la grande famille des scarabaeidae. Ainsi les hannetons correspondent à présent à la sous-famille des melolonthinae.
Les espèces les plus courantes sont notamment le hanneton commun (Melolontha melolontha), le hanneton de la Saint-Jean (Amphimallon solstitialis) ou le hanneton foulon (Polyphylla fullo). Les hannetons font partie des populations de coléoptères qui ont fortement régressé. Le hanneton a de nombreux prédateurs autant dans la terre que dans les airs lors de leurs envols, les oiseaux et les chauve-souris sont aux aguets.

Familie der Blatthornkäfer (Scarabaeidae). Der am weitesten verbreitete Maikäfer Mitteleuropas ist der Feldmaikäfer (Melolontha melolontha). Im nördlichen und östlichen Europa sowie in einigen Regionen Deutschlands kommt der Waldmaikäfer (Melolontha hippocastani) auf sandigen Böden vor. Eine dritte, dem Feldmaikäfer sehr ähnliche Art, ist Melolontha pectoralis. Er ist sehr selten geworden und nur noch vereinzelt in Mitteleuropa anzutreffen. Es gibt nur noch hin und wieder Meldungen aus Südwestdeutschland (Quelle: Wikipedia).

Mann hast Du aber wieder ein Dusel, oder eine lange
Wartezeit bis Du das Bild so gut machen konntest.
Das glaub ich sogar schon eher.
Bei uns im Nordschwarzwald gab es in unserem Ort in meiner Kinderzeit regelmäßige Maikäferplagen. Besonders ein Eichenwäldchen ( Keine Ahnung warum ) hatten sie immer kahl gefressen, daher mussten wir Kinder die Maikäfer Eimerweise, nach Hause tragen wo sie von den Eltern überbrüht wurden.

Seither ging die Population immer mehr zurück so dass
ich seit Jahren oder Jahrzehnten keine zwei Maikäfer
auf einmal gesehen hab. Doch von mancherorts ist
immer wieder von Maikäferplagen zu lesen und ich wundere mich weil ich keine mehr sehe.

In meiner Kindheit haben wir diese Käfer in Wassereimern gesammelt, weil ganze Kastanienalleen kahl gefressen worden waren. Heute sieht man leider nur noch selten welche.
Meine Katze hat mir übrigens vorgestern einen solchen Käfer "geschenkt", den ich dann in mein Blumenbeet gesetzt habe.
Schade, dass ich das Foto erst jetzt entdecke - von mir hätte es auch ein PRO bekommen.
