Kappeln (dänisch: Kappel) ist eine Stadt in der Landschaft Angeln im Kreis Schleswig-Flensburg in Schleswig-Holstein (Deutschland). Die Stadt an der Schlei ist Fischereiort und war bis Juni 2006 Garnisonsstadt (Olpenitz). Für das östliche Angeln und das nördliche Schwansen hat Kappeln Zentrumsfunktion. Kappeln verfügt neben einem kleinen Hafenbetrieb über mehrere Sportbootanlegestellen.
