The Black-tailed Skimmer is a good-looking dragonfly, widespread all over Europe, except North Scandinavia.
This insect likes sunbathing on reed vegetation at the edge of freshwater lakes.
The shot shows a male specimen.

Dutch name : Oeverlibel
German name : Grosse Blaupfeil
Latin name : Orthetrum cancellatum
