Great Crested Grebe - Family (Podicipediformes)

The Great Crested Grebe (Podiceps cristatus) is a species of the family of grebes (Podicipedidae). The about stockentengroße [1] Vogel is the largest, most frequent and best known members of this family of water birds. It breeds on freshwater lakes and large ponds with röhrichtbewachsenen shores. Particularly striking is his courtship, which takes place in open water and to observe good. The Balzelementen heard a violent shaking of the head with a splayed bonnet and the so-called penguin pose, lift in which the birds by rapid paddling of feet almost vertically from each other from the water.

Der Haubentaucher (Podiceps cristatus) ist eine Vogelart aus der Familie der Lappentaucher (Podicipedidae). Der etwa stockentengroße[1] Vogel ist der größte, häufigste und bekannteste Vertreter dieser Familie von Wasservögeln. Er brütet auf Süßwasserseen und größeren Teichen mit röhrichtbewachsenen Ufern. Besonders auffällig ist sein Balzverhalten, das auf freier Wasserfläche stattfindet und gut zu beobachten ist. Zu den Balzelementen gehört ein heftiges Kopfschütteln mit gespreizter Federhaube sowie die sogenannte Pinguin-Pose, bei denen sich die Vögel durch rasches Paddeln der Füße fast senkrecht voreinander aus dem Wasser heben.
