It is really very strange, that in Germany starts the Karneval season today (at least for the people who like this tradition, for myself and many others it is just the beginning of well organized and collective cheerfullness, which really is a pain) while they are remembering their deaths in other countries.
A well composed image to think about!

Ein gelungenes und symbolträchtiges Bild.

Leider ist die geschichtliche Bedeutung des 11.11. gerade bei uns Deutschen völlig in Vergessenheit geraten und vom Karnevalsbeginn überlagert. Gleiches gilt übrigens für den 09.11., der jetzt nur noch für den Fall der Mauer steht. Die dunklen Kapitel unserer Geschichte werden leider ausgeblendet.

beautiful picture with an important message everyone can only agree with! remembering the horrors of war, the victims and their crushed loved ones will or at least "might" prevent new wars and new aggression… i like the "inherent warning" that's in the point of view: the crosses literally growing into the sky, large and threatening, like a silent "mahnmal"! hugs, sabine.
