BC Place Stadium - the world's largest AIR SUPPORTED DOME stadium (so I just read in Wikipedia). It was built in 1983 for EXPO 86 and holds 60.000 spectators. You will see it on TV for the 2010 Olympic Games celebrations.
I was lucky enough to get in after the Sun Run - and the benches were empty.... with my little Canon PowerShot 1/60, F 2.7, 6 mm, no flash

Thank you for all your visits and recent generous comments!
i just love the cool – in both senses of the word ; )) – combination of blue and silver colors! the size of it all must be enormous – the blue seats look so tiny, and there's such a great quantitiy of them!! must be exciting to have the olympics coming up in your city, too! beautiful abstract, adele! hugs, sabine.
A very well chosen angle to present this fantastic dome! Good composition and fine light effects.
I am reall looking forward to the Olympics! Wish I could be there!
Regards, Dagmar
This is an amazing structure - air supported you say?! It is incredible what people can do these days! It is enormous, if it can seat that many people. Well done for getting a shot while it was empty.
