Castello di Roccascalegna

Uno dei più suggestivi castelli dell’Abruzzo si trova su uno sperone roccioso che domina l’abitato di Roccascalegna-CH e il vallone del Rio Secco.
L’origine del castello è molto probabilmente legata ai longobardi che intorno al V - VI secolo fortificano la rocca, ma le prime notizie scritte dell’esistenza del feudo di Roccascalegna risalgono al 1058 nel “Catalogus Baronum” .
