Another one of my early morning sunrise series.
The Water buck has recently had a number of newborns added to the herd. During the first couple of months after birth, we often find the cows alone with the little ones, while the bulls are roaming the park by themselves or in smaller groups.
This little one was very interested in my camera and did not notice the rest of the herd walking away. By the time he suddenly caught on, he was standing all alone, much closer to me than to the rest of the herd.
You are so lucky having the opportunity to take such pictures. This is a wonderful shot in an amazing light and best sharpness.
Well done.
Best wishes, Ursula
I can't tell you, how much I like your lovely pics and these little storys!
This one again is such a lovable little animal, it seems to know what you are doing with your camera... ;-)!

the early morning light looks beautiful on this little waterbuck's face and fur! he must have taken a bath a short time before – his fur looks so fluffy and "clean", as if it's just been washed and tumble dried ; )). i really like the "dreamy" look in his eyes, too, and the way his upper lip seems to be pushing forward, creating that cute "pout"… greetings, sabine.
Oh der Titel ist ja fast traurig.
Der Water buck sieht sehr schön aus in diesem Licht, die Morgensonne und das frühe Aufstehen hat sich gelohnt. Lg Monika
