Ulf Dietrich Merbold (* 20. Juni 1941 in Greiz, Thüringen) ist ein deutscher Physiker und ehemaliger Raumfahrer. Er war 1983 (fünf Jahre nach Sigmund Jähn) der zweite Deutsche und der erste Bundesdeutsche im All. Merbold und Jähn wuchsen nur etwa 40 Kilometer voneinander entfernt im Vogtland auf.
