Observed March 21, 2009 at the Abisko Mountain Station, 65 miles north of the Arctic Circle in Sweden. For you technical folks: the color is unaltered, and was seen with the naked eye except for the reds which only appeared on film during the long 15 second exposure using a 17mm, f/2.8 lens.

this is a wonderful foto grabbed my attention right away

doktada didelas, 22.05.2009 at 18:35h

That is really cool. That green glow. The one aurora I saw was shimmering and moving too fast for a clear
shot.

Heidi A. S., 27.10.2009 at 5:22h

beautiful shot! Any suggestions for photographing the northern lights? I get to see them for much of the winter where I live, and would love to get a good shot!
thanks,
H.
