Ayers Rock / Kata Tjuta - Australien

Der Uluru - auch Ayers Rock, ist ein großer Inselberg aus Sandstein in der zentralaustralischen Wüste im Northern Territory. Der Name „Uluru“ stammt aus dem Pitjantjatjara, der Sprache der Anangu (die lokal ansässigen Aborigines) und bedeutet „Sitz der Ahnen“.

Im Hintergrund sieht man die Kata Tjuta (die Olgas) - eine Gruppe von 36 Inselbergen. Der höchste Fels ragt 564 m aus der Umgebung heraus. Kata Tjuta bedeutet in der Anangu-Sprache viele Köpfe.

Ich muß sagen - eine Wucht dieses Foto.
S/W einfach Klasse. Wunderbares Land.
Werde nie hinkommen - aber ich sehe mir
diese Fotos sehr gerne an. Es muß ein
Erlebnis sonders gleichen sein.
