Hope, Peace and Love for 2009

this is what the Dalai Lama represents for me - and this is what I wish for everybody at Fotocommunity.
I was in Melk/Austria at the Kloster sightseeing when there was suddenly news that the Dalai Lama was coming to attend a conference. I was thrilled to get a picture of him (although I wish I could have gotten a clearer shot).

Melk mit dem Klosterfelsen der Benediktiner und der Donau ist ein wunderbarer Ort für diesen sympathischen und hoch intelligenten Mann, dieser Reinkarnation der gewaltigen tibetischen Tradition, die nun langsam systematisch zerstört wird. I saw him last spring in Germany in my hometown Mönchengladbach, but I wasn´t so lucky to get so close to him. I wish you all the best and a happy and healthy new year 2009. May all your fotowishes come true. Maybe I can take some fotos in Vancouver next april or may. big portrait!
