This is a shot of a tree i uploaded earlier this year, before it had its new leaves(see picture blow). Soon these leaves will have gone for another winter.
This is part of a series ,showing some of the little trees that can be found on Dartmoor. These next ones were all taken at Peek Hill, near Yelverton ,on the south western edge of the moor, and is close to Leather Tor and Sharpitor. Pictures of some of these trees may have been uploaded in the past, but these are all new pictures, taken for this series. It always amazes me how these little marvels manage to survive, but they do,mostly !!! I hope you will find these pictures interesting:-) These trees vary in size from 5feet to 10 feet tall ,but some are a little bigger. All are stunted, and most are shaped by the wind ,as you will see.:-) I hope you enjoy the little trees:-)
A beautiful landscape, I wish I was there, tonight it's raining without end ;))
