That looks really funny: This is the poor Kondelike
which is not allowed any more in the water and you
put her a car in front with a big mouth open :-))))))))
Have a lovely weekend, Robbie, *sld, Miriam & T.

gracias
danke
obrigado también
merci et
thank you all ...

ironically
most people in the real world
are more interested in the history
of the modern automobilia thing
and would easily know
much more about
the once -
and even-more-so today -
very desirable 1937 cord
than the
ss klondike -

steam ship / sustantivo -

the biggest cargo carrier
to ply the few hundred
treacherous kilometres
of the forth longest river
in north america
between my hometown -
and the
f o r m e r
capital of the yukon territory
where a bunch of gold was found
about a hundred or so years ago ...

when the north klondike highway
was completed in the mid 50's
the big boat
was turned into a luxury liner
and did one trip with passengers only
of not more that a hundred or so
m i l e s
before it found its way
to the dryness
and safety
of the river's bank
where it will forever remain
a reminder
that pavement
is a more efficient media
for the transportation
of
s t u f f
than water
(or narrow gauge railway tracks ;-))

as for this altered photo's title
it's simply a
p l a y _ o n _ w o r d s -

Happy Birthday Bryan...

and a little north of the yank's
capital of the
former russian territory
alaska ;-))

history and birthdays
are surely
the yin and the yang
of mortal existence . . .
