Dear Sue..I am looking at this fantastic image since yesterday which is in my favorites.
First I paused, then took a deep breath�I felt the air on my skin, smelled the sea, heard the seagulls..Feeling free of my restrictions I became still and connected to the power at the center of my being�It was so intense�.

I can understand half frame as open way for memories but still I would maybe put this one in a whole frame... otherwise I love nostalgic atmosphere you captured and added with almost BW. All detailes are telling the story: silhouetts of mountaines, sad/crying sky (rain), sea gulls following the boat, vivid colored trace of the boat disappearing in a distance... excellent!!! I would vote for it but as a free member I can't take part in voting...

The white pole and silver object popping up are distracting. IMHO including more of the back of the boat would tie the objects into the picture more, or shooting the shot more from the side to avoid the objects would make for a better shot. I do like the tone of the shot. Sorry, Contra
