The Haleakala Volcano
Island of Maui, Hawai'i
June 23, 2008
Just 2 days on this beautiful island and I have already shot over 400 photos. It will take me some time to process them, but for now I'd like to share with you this breathtaking view of the Haleakala Crater. Rising over 10,000 feet (3,300 meters) above the sea level, Haleakala (Hawai'ian: House of the sun) was last active more than 800 years ago and today it offers some of the most incredible views and sceneries I've ever seen.

the colours are stunning.
its difficult to get an idea of scale but are those roads i can see, it looks so immense, its a wonderful viewpoint that you have chosen.
