Missing the Past

If you can read this, Try not to say I see you in his glasses. It's a bit expected from the witless I even said once. I have enjoyed the individual reflections of how Peruvian me saw themselves at their festival in Puno. Here I almost thought this man was Elvis without the costume trimmings. What was surprising even more about this man was his divorce from indigenous clothes. The powers of the west can be like a weed strangling the rich culture of others without even causing any noticeable pain. Blue jeans came first. Now it is sunglasses and smart phones.

The eyes are the mirror of the soul. But what with the glasses? :)

I can understand his style. He just wants to look like a guy from the big town, not from village:-) And he wants to look different from every day's style. And then all people around will see how handsome and clever he is.
It's so good that you giving us possibility to make our own stories looking for your pictures:-)
    Regards
    Tania
