"red badge of courage" was my first thought! love the vaguely nostalgic tones here! in fact, the red and the sepia remind me of the cover of the first edition* of stephen crane's great novella! great story here, too: a happy-go-lucky attitude on the left, doubt and skepticism on the right – two different boys, two different temperaments… greetings, sabine. p.s.: agree with harold thompson on the use of the linen of the tents!
