Hallo!
Leider kann ich dir nicht zum Sieg gratulieren (auch wenn ich dich, für mich, an erster Stelle sehe), aber ich gratuliere dir trotzdem zu deiner absolut traumhafen Bildbearbeitung bzw. Montage.
Echt eine Meisterleistung und erinnert stark an "The 5th Element". Super Atmosphäre!

Die Arbeit ist wirklich klasse. Habe nicht erwartet, dass es so weit hinten sein wird...
Musste auch an den Film "das fünfte Element" denken.

Most of us thought that you'll win this competition and I personally don't understand why you didn't. Best compositing in the competition.
You would have deserved it!

Ich wrote that I found your work very good, even amazing and wondered that it isn't at the first places of this competition.
When I saw your picture I thought immediately of the movie "the fifth element".

I put a huge amount of effort into this- it was made especially for the contest and took over 30 hours spread across 3 weeks to make. I wanted to give myself the best chance possible of winning a prize.

To be honest I am extremely disappointed with the results. I was not necessarily expecting to get a prize, but to be honest the winning entries are very poor, and could have been done very easily in under 2 hours.

I thought these 'expert judges' would have picked the manipulations that were done the most thoroughly. I am pretty disgusted to be ranked on page 5 out of 8, and equally disgusted that several other excellent entries are ranked even lower.

I Definitely won't be entering another competition here.

Some people say, that the most photographs understood the text of the competition wrong... The jury wanted no montages which had been "built" by composing a number of different photos together... They wanted one photo which had been changed by filters, textures, painting or some elemets from other pictures.


You can see that pictures with several "base photos" became their places only up the fifth page. So I think that this was one of the criterions of the jury - we had to send ONE "base photo" with the "result photo".

I can understand that your are disappointed...

Well the car is my base photo- its a picture of the family car I took myself, and its the part I spent half my time on.
I was originally going to keep the background simple but the idea evolved because I thought it would improve the final image...
The rules specifically mentioned doing 'anything you like'. It was completely up to your creativity according to the rules. I read them thoroughly so I wouldn't misinterpret them.

Saying that you are limited to small adjustments is laughable. A filtered image that has taken half an hour is never going to match a full manipulation. Its like asking someone to drive with 2 gears instead of 5. If that was the idea the judges had, it should have been explained clearly in the rules.

I apologize if it sounds like I'm getting at you- Its nothing against you personally, I'm just venting my frustration a bit.

BTW, even the example picture of the contest is a composit of at least three pictures. So, I don't understand what happened here, too.

I'm frustrated too and find that the rules were not exatly enough... Many people can't understand the dicision of the jury... But we can't change anything.

yeah, it's not so good with the result, but honestly, with this kind of virtual images in your head, you can make a fortune !!!! SALUTE !!!!

i am absolutely gobsmacked at the work you've done.

I agree with most of the posts that have been made, your Composing is extrordinary!!!! I would love to see some of the stepps it took inbetween, since i hope do be able to create imagas like yours in the near future.

Is there any other place to see some of your achivements?

And in your very understandable frustration of the jury vote don't forget the achivment you've made.

You've impressed a lot of people, especialy concidering your age... 17 is very young for such detailed work (in my opinion) and deserves to be noticed!

Don't let Juryvotes pull you down... jury votes are only good for prizes... what your future customers see is the importend part.

I'm looking forward to seeing a lot more of your fantastic artwork.

Hallo,
finde dein Bild einfach unglaublich !!!
Das sowas überhaupt möglich ist, hätte ich nicht gedacht.
Da ich ja fast gar keine Ahnung von Bildbearbeitung hab, finde ich es auch mal schön zu sehen, aus welchen einzelteilen das Bild entstanden ist.
Klasse !!!
