However the Variable Damselfly has much more extensive black markings and appear slender. Its markings are subject to considerable variation, hence its English and Dutch name.
Dutch name : Variabele waterjuffer
German name : Fledermaus-Azurjungfer
Latin name : Coenagrion pulchellum
