just read up on anchors. gee, there's SO many different kinds. some i wouldn't even have recognized as anchors because of their outlandish shapes… if i'm not mistaken (after all the reading up i did ; )), this giant anchor here is a classical "fisherman". it looks so triumphant, so reliable, sitting on its rock with one arm pointing skywards as though uttering a command to be heeded by the boats of its harbor. in their anchor they trust… ; ) speaking of port authority… ; )) an image that beautifully illustrates the symbolism related to the anchor as a provider of stability and confidence. greetings, sabine.
very good as the anchor is the main subject but
all the details of the houses and the pier and all
the tied-up boats still show so detailed and
sharp ... a very fine capture and excellent with
its tonal range and definition !!!
weekend greetings,
Adele
This Anchor has an impressing size!! A fine place for this piece! What a pittoresque place with all the little ships and the quay wall and the houses.
You have had an excellent point of view!!!
