This is a terrific picture, Adele,not because it is much more beautiful than the coloured one, but because it suits a lot better for the Nevada landscape.I like again very much what I have often seen to be repeated in your shots the "multilevelled" cadre, ie great depth of field with a lot details in each one to linger on. In this shot the foreground is really fantastic with the cabane being the heart and the scattered trees to reflect, more expressingly in monochrome,the desertion of the landscape. A very beautiful picture indeed.

In s/w wirkt es etwas grafischer und aufgeräumter :-)
und als Wandbild dezenter
( ein dunkles Bild hat oft den höheren,künstlerischer Wert -hoffentlich nicht unbezahlbar ;)

Cette série du Nevada est vraiment magnifique , ces NB sont d'une finesse extraordinaire qui fait ressemble ces photos à des gravures .

Ein gut gemachtes Foto Adele. Ein bißchen habe ich den Eindruck, was sicher auch durch die Schwarzweiß-Fotografie beeinflußt ist, daß Schnee liegt. Mit der fast verfallenen Hütte im Vordergrund ist das Bild ein Traum. Wünsche Dir schon mal jetzt alles Gute für das Neue Jahr.

"nevada" = snowy… yes, i'm thinking "first settlers", too! and "gold rush" and "california trail"… what hardships they must have endured, while crossing the sierra nevada on their way to the promised lands of oregon and california! they look splendid to us now, those magnificent snow-capped mountains, but they must scared the hell out of all those intending to conquer them… hugs, sabine.

Quel paysage! Une cabane - peut-être les restes d'un abri de chercheur d'or - et les somptueux contreforts de la Sierra Nevada (?): voilà tout l'Ouest mythique qui nous tend les bras. Bonne idée d'avoir utilisé le noir et blanc pour souligner l'originalité de ce superbe cliché.
