I agree Doris, I know that I go way overboard sometimes with my hobbys, one in particular was trout fishing, somewhere along the way it graduated from hobby to an obsession, and then once I got that under control, and everyone was happy, I joined fc and within two years I was spending almost as much time on the computer as i was fishing, one night Vonya said, ''I think all you did was trade the fishing pole for the computer.....and so once again I had to step back and take a honest look at the situation, and she was right, ''don't ya just hate it when they are always right'', ....now we do a lot more things together, like travel and things we both can enjoy, and of course where ever there is joy, there is a photo oppportunity, right........I think the key is ''moderation'', as long as I do things in moderation there is harmony in my life, anytime I follow my obsessions there is chaos......

Hallo Doris, das sind gute Gedanken zu einem immer wieder aktuellen Thema in der fc. Letztendlich muss aber jeder selbst entscheiden, wie viel Zeit er hier verbringt und gute Freunde/Buddies verstehen das auch.
Du hast hier aber außerdem eine sehr schöne Zusammenstellung über andere Hobbies präsentiert!!!

Ohhh Dear Doris , you are so right ..There are lots of things OUT SIDE too..to enjoy, to get pleasure, to create something new...To tell the truth I sometimes feel a kind of self blame when I can not go through the images of friends, I feel like missing something.This is my projection I am sure.Because I love to share, my work and others...and the comments gives so much encouragement to go forward...But not writing words under the pictures never mean that you are not a friend any more .)) I am way behind my comments in these days because of travelling and vacation..and some other things...When ever I have time I go over and really enjoy being IN the image, sharing the same feelings....They make me smile and cheer up, some times go deep into emotions....
Anyway..this became more like a letter than a comment I think I love to talk :)))))))))))

Recht hast Du, wir brauchen auch mal Zeit für andere Dinge und sollten uns diese Zeit nehmen.
Wer dann sauer reagiert, der kann kein echter Freund oder guter Buddie sein.

Na, bei der Anzahl von Hobbies bist Du ja voll ausgelastet! Da muss man sich die Zeit aber gut einteilen.
Mit dem Zeitaufwand für die fc hast Du recht. Auch wir haben teilweise viel zu viel Zeit hier verbracht. Wir sind auch dabei, dies zu reduzieren.

There are some days I'm sure when buddies friends feel them should comment on all the photos, I know we manage to keep up not because we spend all day on the computer. We usually look in a morning and evening, We could easily spend all day but try to combine other things too gardening and walking. Plus taking the camera out We realise that buddies don't always have time due to other commitments. But look forward to reading them when they do. They are not all recycled teenagers like us. :-)))))

:))) Addiction of hobby......where does the one start to become the other..or vice-versa. It is very easy to spend hours on fc commenting on the pics of our buddies, and I have to admit, I do try to comment on all the pics my buddies send for me. As my other half...Mr.H.....is of the same mind, we do not fall out or argue about it all. Both of us have been 'into' photography for a very long time, so going out walking and taking the cameras is second nature to us both, so we are very lucky that our hobby of photography and addiction to fc suits us both :))))))))))))
It would maybe cause conflict in some households where one partner is addicted to their hobby and the other to something entirely different.

A hobby = something you really enjoy doing.

Addiction = feeling compelled to doing something.

My word but you have made us think Doris :)))))
.and I love the composite of hobbies......especially the doggy in the middle.....he has the right idea

Deine Zusammenstellung gefaellt mir sehr, aber mit so vielen Hobbies bleibt ja nicht viel Zeit fuer FC.
Du hast aber recht, denn wenn man nicht aufpasst, stiehlt FC seine ganze Freizeit.

Da hast Du wohl bei einigen den Nerv getroffen, liebe Doris.
RECHT hast DU!!!!!!
Oft definieren sich wohl Leute über ihre Wertschätzung
anhand der Anzahl von Anmerkungen.
Das sind keine echten Buddys und wer keine Zivilcourage hat den kannst Du eh vergessen.
Bei der großen Anzahl von Usern ist es nicht verwunderlich das sich halt auch einige daneben benehmen, letztendlich ist es ein Spiegel unserer Gesellschaft.

Ich habe das Glück in einem Land zu leben in dem mehr die Sonne scheint als das trübe Tage einem das Leben vermiesen könnte.
Es wäre doch der pure Wahnsinn würde ich mich stundenlang am PC aufhalten.
Wie schon Deine Collage der Zeit vermittelte, nutzen wir unsere Zeit sinnvoll!!!

Hier ist alles vereint was der Mensch braucht, ****
Ein Spiel zum nachdenken, ein Spiel zur Körperertüchtigung,ein Dach über den Kopf und ein Auto zum fortbewegen, Bücher, Freunde , Entspannung, Kunstgallerien und Theater. Ausgelassen ist nur die Arbeit und wer braucht die schon******Gute Idee alles in einer Collage zu packen.

Hobbies sind etwas wunderbares, wenn sie nicht
einseitig betrieben werden und dadurch die Sicht
auf andere schöne Dinge verloren geht.
