Wrinkled Crust is a beautiful crust fungus with a colourful, almost fluorescent, wrinkled surface.

This fungus likes to grow on the bark of dead deciduous trees, especially beech.

Dutch name : Oranje aderzwam
German name : Orangeroter Kammpilz
Latin name : Phlebia radiata

looks like a mineral of some kind! and yes, its orange color is quite beautiful – very autumnal and vaguely reminiscent of amber. the things you find on the forest floor… it never ceases to amaze me! greetings, sabine. p.s.: : )) once again its english name – wrinkled crust! – cracks me up!
