At the Walvis Bay Waterfront

In Walvis Bay bei dem Segelbootclub halten sich einige Pelikane auf. Sie sind fast zahm und fliegen mit den Booten mit. Man kann ganz nah an sie heran kommen und sie lassen sich nicht stoeren.

There are a few pelicans at the Walvis Bay yacht club, they are almost tame and fly along with the outgoing boats.

pelicans are great! i think i've told the xxl-pizza story once two often – florida pelican at: GULP! –, so i'll refrain from it this time… ; )) what strikes me as most amazing, though, is that the pink of the pre-sunrise desert, seems to have settled on his face – a true namibian, he is! ; ) –, and i even seem to detect a soft rosy glow on his back and wings. sign of a creature loved and looked after by the sun… ; ) greetings, sabine.

They probably know that the outgoing boats are synonymous with incoming fish, better make sure they stay in the fisherman's good books :-)
