Branching Oyster is a funnel shaped fungus becoming wavy with aging and is attached directly to the tree on which it grows without stem.
Can be found mostly under or on elms.

The Branching Oyster is one of the very rare carnivorous fungi !
It can kill and digest roundworms !

Unfortunately, this striking fungus stands on the Red List of vulnerable and threatened species !
