The Fungi World (251) : Candlesnuff fungi
Look what I found : a sea of Candlesnuff fungi !
These very small but conspicuous fungi with a branched antler like form can be found all year round, but most commonly in autumn.
The specimens in the shot are only 1cm high.
Dutch name : Geweizwam
German name : Geweihförmige Holzkeule
Latin name : Xylaria hypoxylon
