Byzantine Thessaloniki
St Nicholas Orphanos is one of the oldest byzantine churches of Thessaloniki, built in early 14th century. The interior is almost entirely decorated with frescoes and mosaics(please refer to the previous photo in the gallery).
Taking a stroll around the church, I came across with one of the old windows, in the east side of the church, that obviously remains exactly the same through the ages!...

a splendid ancient building and in this black and whiteimage the details and all the textures show up so
well ... indeed a view where time has stood still,
and it has to be such an amazing feeling visiting
