The snow flies as this Preßnitztalbahn train prepares to depart Steinbach for its trip through a snowy wonderland to the terminus at Jöhstadt.
The Preßnitztalbahn is a 750-mm narrow gauge steam railway operating in the Erzgebirge region of eastern Germany, close by the Czech border.

i just love your "steam-engine-in-the-snow shots"! the enthusiasm and tenderness you must feel for those old machines is always tangible them, and that makes them so powerfully charming! i like the "dreamy nostalgia" of this picture, and how the steam seems to be mixing organically with the thick snowflakes, creating the perfect "breeding ground" for chilhood memories and stories! greetings, sabine.Berthold Klammer 14/09/2010 11:20
