Metro Night Blizzard No.1
A rough night awaits the Washington Metro system, as the second
major snowstorm in less than a week begins to ramp up.
Taken ~7 PM on February 9, 2010 at the Franconia-Springfield Virginia station.
The HELP sign at upper left could be seen as "prophetic," as Metro would need all the help it could get in restoring above-ground service to the Washington, D.C. suburbs in Maryland and Virginia as record snowfalls brought two feet and more to the area.

Of course the less glamorous side of winter!The heavy, wet snowfall well captured - and early enough before nothing went ahead anymore!
