Chiemsee

Der Chiemsee entstand vor 15-20.000 Jahren und ist der größte bayerische See. Deswegen wird er auch liebevoll das * Bayerische Meer genannt. Seine Fläche beträgt 80km², sein Umfang ca. 64...

... km und die größte Tiefe 73,4m. Damit ist er etwa so tief, wie der Priener Kirchturm hoch ist. Im SOMMER ist er nicht nur ein Eldorado für Badegäste, Surfer und Segler, sondern auch für eine Vielzahl von Wasservögeln, die vor allem im Binnendelta der Tiroler Achen nisten. Im WINTER zeigt sich der See und die Voralpenlandschaft von ihrer stimmungsvollen Seite und laden zu einem ruhigen Spaziergang über die Insel ein.
