after a lot of great ideas i think this is my fav...
clean and simple
perfect title and the vertical reflection and the cup handle really create the impression of a clock

Really nice rim light on the saucer and cup. the spoon looks good and I actually like the hot spots running through the middle of the image. Tick Tock..

Nice looking, quite trim and spot on.
Only, one of the rules was "available light only" and i feel as if studio light has been used here .

There is only sunlight against the Camera, are you such a specialist in professional light equippment, Ruud? Than you should try to reconstruct this Situation and you will see, that its possible with only one light, i protect some pats of the Arrangement with papersheets and some correctures are made in photoshop, like the whitebalance, thats all. thank you for watching my picture more than one time and i promise you, i took this picture by running strictly the given rules.best regards Wolfram

FOR ALL PHOTOS - I am posting here since this is the first shot in the "Coffee Cup" series. I'm thinking that after the voting, we should all update our images with information about HOW, WHEN, WHERE and WHY of the shot, and include any relevent history.

There are some very creative composition and lighting techniques used throughout this series and we could all learn from each other - which is I hope - the intent of this exercise. Thanks everyone for joining in!!!

Wolfram, i wrote that there is a FEEL as IF studio light were used.
That is something quite different then writing THAT studio light was used. 8-))


This is getting by the way a bit mixed up as you apparently write the same answer under several pictures ??
