This lone male rode past the Dongchuan monitoring station, and onto the debris flow left behind by centuries of mudslides. The orange glow on the mountains is copper ore. It is desolate, eery, alone. Nothing, and no one can survive there. The communities that live at the foot of the mountains have to move on a regular basis. There are around fifteen mudslides a year at this site.
