They differ from us perhaps just by a software version
The single location on Earth, where mountain gorillas live - the Virunga Mountains on the border between Rwanda and Uganda. Beautiful animals, fantastic face play and gestures. It was an unforgettable experience meeting animals who are in the evolution chain the closest to us. They seem to think like people about what to do next, unlike other animals they share food with other group members and live in family like groups. The females (one of them at the picture) did scratch many bamboo trees to get to the sweet juice.

Great shot! I was lucky enough to visit the Nkuringo family in Bwindi Rain Forest (Uganda) in March 2009.These guys look slightly different (perhaps one more
software update) from the vulacano gorillas. Some say it's a different subspecies even... Have put up a couple of pics in my galerie. Best regards, Michael
