Morning toilet

I spotted this small group of Black headed Gulls while making their toilet (plumage care) on the lake in the morning light.

This is a noisy species during the breeding season, constantly quarreling and fighting to defend the nesting place.

German name : Lachmöwe
Latin name : Chroicocephalus ridibundus (previous Larus ridibundus)

The yellow flowers on the lake are Yellow Pond Lilies which can be seen in full detail in the picture below
