Egyptian Goose chick
The Egyptian Goose is native to Africa, especially the Nile Valley in Egypt and south of the Sahara desert.
In Western Europe, this bird was introduced in the 18th century with well established feral populations as result (especially in Belgium, The Netherlands and England) but an Egyptian Goose chick is still a not everyday appearance.

German name : Nilgans
Latin name : Alopochen aegyptiacus

such a lovely little goose and the image and close up in top quality....I have to go back in a couple of weeks to see how the little geese here must have grown..if they are still there with all the herons around...
