The Living Forest (148) : Blackthorn
Everywhere in the forest, Blackthorn shrubs can be seen in full bloom at the moment.
At the end of summer, the shrub is adorned with lots of beautiful berries as can be seen in the picture below.
The wood of Blackthorn is extremely hard and is highly valued for making walking sticks.

Herrlich, ein Meer aus Blüten! So schön ist diese Wildfrucht - und das zu jeder Jahreszeit! Ich mache im Herbst gerne ein Gelee aus Äpfeln und Schlehen!
