The Fungi World (128) : Yellow Fieldcap
Yellow Fieldcap is a fungus that likes to grow in fields and pastures, but always on or near....... horse or cattle dung !
The picture shows a young and a (nearly) mature specimen.
The young one has a round and convex shape with a distinctive bright yellow colour.
The adult evolves more or less flat and its colour fades to greyish or pale tan, but usually retaining a small yellowish center.

German name : Gold-Mistpilz
Latin name : Bolbitius vitellinus

Er trägt das "Gold" zurecht in seinem Namen - gerade der kleinere von den beiden Pilzen wirkt richtig golden! Sehr schön, der Bildschnitt und die vielen Tautropfen auf den Kleeblättern sind ein wirklich schöner udn zusätzlicher SChmuck!

Lovely in its "infant" stage, really beautiful as an adult with all these fine stripes and little yellow peak.... very different and nice their slender "feet". An excellent image in their rainy world - green and with a hint of autumnal brown leaves.greetings, Adele
