The Fungi world (84) : Honey Fungus

Yesterday, I uploaded a cluster of Honey Fungi (see picture below).
Today, you can see a close and detailed macro capture of one specimen that was growing outside the cluster.

As I already wrote yesterday, it’s a beautiful species but also a dangerous one.
As parasite of trees, it causes an intensive white rot and ultimately death.
There is no cure against it and the fungus is responsible for large losses of timber each year.
