The Gates
From a Kodachrome 64 slide, inspired by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. 'Dulle Griet' (Mad Meg). c. 1562.
It was a very hot day at the Arches Nat. Park in Utah, too hot. Bloody fools were going along a trail up through this double arch; you can see some of them bent over, I chickened out, too hot, and went back to my air conditioned car.. It just reminded me of medieval paintings of souls entering Hell.
