Mt. Baker in Washington State in the background ...

we stayed at this little bay between Cabbage and Tumbo Islands for a couple of days - much to explore, and here the Salish Sea meets the Haro Strait, and the American San Juan Islands are just across the water .

Wunderschön mit dem Hintergrund des Vulkans festgehalten. Er liegt sehr nahe an Vancouver (nur 60 km). Ist das nicht ein wenig gefährlich? Aber die ganze Kaskadenkette ist ja mit Vulkanen übersäht.

tumbo island? are you sure??? i'm taking your word for it, but personally i think you may have been drifting somewhere in the vicinity of the ulanga river… watch out now for mosquitos, crocodiles, leeches and the queen louisa…

Beautiful composition with water and grass in the foreground.
The two diagonals of trees lead the eye to the imposing snow-covered mountain.
