The Living Forest (228) : Wood Anemones
After a week with milder temperatures and soft rain, the explosion of spring has finally begun.
At this moment hundreds of Wood Anemones are growing on the forest floor in small dense carpets.
Among the wild flowers, the Wood Anemone belongs to the earliest blooming species in the forest.
In springtime, they benefit thereby a lot from the sunlight that shines through the still leafless trees.
It is said that the Wood Anemones bloom at the same time as the return of the swallow from Africa.
Dutch name : Bosanemoon
German name : Buschwindröschen
Latin name : Anemone nemorosa

Es dauert zwar noch etwas aber man freut sich wieder auf diese schöne Zeit.Eine wunderbare Blütenpracht und ein feines Spiel von Licht und Schatten.

Hallo Mark,dieses Bild ist klasse, mir gefällt hier nicht nur die sehr gute Schärfe auf den Buschwindröschen, sondern auch, dass du den Wald und den Trampelpfad im Hintergrund sehr schön mit einbezogen hast - diese Aufnahme ist richtig super.

Beautiful Wood anemones bursting out and looking beautiful. Here we have had the sun and warmer temps...but we really need some gentle April showers.A lovely shot and good low viewpoint.
