Beim Sonnenaufgang - At sunrise

Um bei Sonnenaufgang auf den weissen Duenen zu sein begann unser "Kraftmarsch" früh um 5. Im Gänsemarsch , hintereinander, in den Spuren des Vorgängers (um unnötige Spuren zu vermeiden) quälten wir uns samt Photorucksack und Stativ durch den dicken Sand.Als wir dann endlich dort oben standen zog eine leichte und leuchtende Nebelwand an uns vorbei, ein fast überirdisches Erlebnis. Der Einsatz hatte sich gelohnt. Dieses Bild zeigt die ersten Sonnenstrahlen.
Our "march" to the white dunes began at 5am in order to be in situ at sunrise. Walking through heavy sand and behind each other in single file (to avoid unnecessary tracks) and carrying a photographic "Rucksack" and tripod proved to be an extreme physical exertion. When we finally stood on the dunes, a slight glowing curtain of fog moved past us, a sublime experience. The shot was taken as the sun rose casting it's first rays on the bushes.

This must have been a wonderful tour, even with the heavy photo equipment, wouldn't mind doing something similar sometime.Photos like this one remind me of a few wonderful days spent in Cape Cod, where white beaches and beach grass abound.
Love the stiff standing grass, the contrast between the green and the pale beige, as well as the sunshine in the foreground and the beautiful ripples in the sand.

Dies muss ein schöner Ausflug gewesen sein, trotz schwerer Fototasche. Es würde mir nichts ausmachen, so etwas ähnliches auch mal zu unternehmen.
Fotos wie dieses erinnern mich an ein paar herrliche Tage, die ich in Cape Cod verbrachte und wo weisse Strände und Seegras zahlreich sind.

wou cathy, es sieht aus wie schnee.wunderschön das erste sonnenlicht, noch ganz zart und die feinen wellen im sand. ich wünschte, ich könnte solche momente auch einmal erleben und genießen. es muss ein sehr erhabenes gefühl sein einen so fast überirdischen augenbick zu erleben. das kann dir niemand mehr nehmen.

two sunkissed islands surrounded by an ocean of rippled sand! very beautiful indeed! in the thumb the dunes looked like two long-lashed closed eyes! ; ) i'm having a little trouble here with size and proportion, though: the "ocean of sand" is all part of a giant white dune, right? so the grassy "islands" are probably anthill size? well, whichever it is, it's a fascinating shot of a fascinating landscape! my favorite detail is the light that's literally sneaking into the cool morning world! ; ) greetings, sabine.Johannisbeere 14/05/2012 20:58
