wow! that rusty iron thing in the foreground – part of the "sea defense", i suppose? – seems to imitate a giant tidal wave! i like how it's "framing" the shot and adding a "contemporary" and slightly surreal feel to an otherwise timeless, or even nostalgic looking picture! the wooden poles, the beautiful sunlit sea, the people playing at the beach and strolling around – could all very well be taking place at the turn of the last century, too… greetings, sabine.
