Lake Eupen
This freshwater lake is set in an outstanding scenery at the foothills of the Hertogenwald (the second greatest forest of Belgium).
It covers an area of 126ha and is a wonderful place to walk and relax.
While I was making this shot of the lake, I met a foreign tourist who told me that this splendid view reminded him very much to his own beloved native land, Canada.
(I wonder if maybe Adele D. Oliver
can confirm or deny this ?)

Was für einen herrlichen Standpunkt du doch hattest! Von dem dunklen VG geht der Blick übers wunderbar blaue Wasser hin zum herbstfarbenen Wald! Das fein gefiederte Laub des Baumes lässt den Blick frei auf den herrlich blauen Himmel!
Ja und wie vermutet, kann Adele dem Ausspruch ja wohl zustimmen...:-))

how very beautiful this lake and surrounding woodlands, the still water, the seemingly untouched forests ..... a fine capture with this natural frame, Mark .... I can indeed imagine in scene like this here in BC (although the tree in the foreground is uncommon) ... with Canada being so big and having such different climates, I wonder where the man came from.greetings, Adele
