My second attempt to catch birds in flight, I have learned that luck is playing an important role.
So tips are always welcome.

Great shot.
Tha way i do it is like this ... I set my camera on auto focus. if i see the bird is gonna pass near me i follow the bird with the camera adjusting the focus at all times, then when im happy with the distance i do a few shot.

Sometimes it is helpfull to give the Exposure Time 0.7 extra (plus), because very often the pictures of the birds get too dark.
And if you try to move the camera with the object in motion don't stop when you press the button but keep on going.
