I like the composition, but the b/w editing is too contrasty.
The dark parts are only black with no contours and some parts of the sky are burnt out.

Far too much contrast, and when burning hte sky the edge all along the top of the island has been caught causing a dark line all round. not for gallery imo

In my opinion I would have cut off
about five centimeters at the top.
The ratio of the clouds to the foreground,
or the actual motive is too dominant.
Take up a sheet of paper and cut off your format
to these five centimeters, then you will reach a good result,
a very different picture effect.

The black line around the island really makes it look like it was added to the picture. Without that I would have voted Pro, maybe its possible to re-work the picture. Contra as proposed.

I guess every world-member has the right do get and do recommandations in all parts of the fc.
If this would not be wished by the owners, they would have eliminated this possibility.
To give a picture a *contra* because the photographer/ recommender is not a member of the com-inquisition-circle is a pity.
Noone would argue in this way about a spanish-world-member in the .de channel.
I admit, that there are some buddy-rope teams that use the foreign channels to extrude their friends pictures, but these pictures are mostly not worth discussing about them.
The increase of 200 needed votes would be enough to prevent this, like f.e. in the .de channel.
If I would need help in which channel to place a picture, I would be happy to receive help here. . . . .
although some of you sound to me like retired pen-pushers from ministry of education, arts and silly walks :-))))))

Mi era sfuggita a causa mia questa GRANDISSIMA... e ripeto grandissima foto... e non perchè rappresentativa del luogo in cui vivo, ma per ciò che mi riesce a trasmettere la foto di un luogo che abitualmente ho sotto gli occhi e che solo tu hai saputo rendere così.... un sogno reale.
