    Hi everyone,
Thank you all for your comments, all of them valid.
I shot Lucy in a hired studio using 2 lovely big softboxes and a hair light with a black paper backgound.
The skin softening software I use was set on auto as I am a bit of a technofobe. Robert Riley has kindley sent me a version he has skillfuly worked on and has taken out the scar to the right eye and improved on the lips, much better than my original!
Lucy is from Prauge and visits th UK often. She is a wonderful model and just turns it on when in front of the camera.
    Regards,
    Dave.

For me there is too much editing. It makes the photo too artificial.

Surely the look in the camera is the point! He nailed the eyes! I might have a rethink.

Aside from the comments regarding softening fx and reflections in the eyes which do no bother me so much. I find the portrait to be fairly common in terms of positioning of the model and composition. The fact that she is looking directly at the camera. No special impact for me.
